Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a field-based professional to lead the deployment of the Touch Surgery ecosystem across the Western United States. A Day in the Life

The Digital, Data, & Ecosystem Business Unit develops and commercializes artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, video management, and digital education technologies that support surgical care, workflow optimization, and professional training. The Touch Surgery™ ecosystem combines hardware, software, data analytics, and digital learning solutions that help healthcare organizations capture, manage, and learn from procedural content. This position supports customers throughout the Western United States and is a remote field-based position within the territory. Frequent travel to hospitals and customer sites is required, with travel expected up to 75-100%. Team members regularly work directly with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital information technology teams, and biomedical engineering teams to deploy and support technology solutions in clinical environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Execute multiple concurrent implementations of the Touch Surgery™ ecosystem across healthcare organizations. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, operating room leaders, residents, information technology teams, and biomedical engineering teams to support deployment readiness and adoption. Install, configure, test, and validate hardware and software solutions in hospital environments, including network connectivity and system configuration activities. Deliver customer training, implementation meetings, and go-live support for clinical and operational users. Troubleshoot technical, workflow, and deployment challenges and coordinate resolution with internal and customer stakeholders. Assess customer environments, identify potential implementation risks, and develop contingency plans to support successful deployments. Partner with sales teams on pre-sales activities, customer evaluations, and implementation planning. Share customer feedback and field insights with product, engineering, and customer success teams to support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with 0+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 75-100% within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing, deploying, supporting, or training users on hardware, software, medical device, or digital technology solutions.
  • Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to support technology deployments.
  • Experience with medical devices, surgical technologies, video management, or imaging platforms.
  • Experience working in operating rooms, procedural environments, or hospital-based clinical settings.
  • Experience supporting healthcare information technology, networking, system configuration, or live-streaming technologies.
  • Experience delivering customer onboarding, training, adoption, or change management activities.
  • Experience presenting, educating, or training customer-facing audiences.
  • Experience working independently in a field-based customer-facing role.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$68,000.00 - $102,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
