Job summary

AFFIRM, Inc. is seeking an Implementation Support Specialist I to help implement the Affirm solution with a growing network of retail partners.

You will be the primary contact for partners and collaborate with engineering and merchant operations to troubleshoot issues and build scalable internal processes. You will routinely handle integration guidance, documentation, and feedback loops to improve product performance while delivering high-quality customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in Tech, eCommerce, SaaS or similar role.
• Strong written communication with stakeholders/customers/partners.
• Excellent project management, communication, and technical skills for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary support to merchant partners on marketing, accounting workflows, implementation guidance, and troubleshooting.
• Resolve technical integration issues related to partners’ ecommerce platforms and order systems.
• Identify and implement new operational processes to drive efficiency.
• Develop detailed technical documentation.

About The Operations Team

The Operations team delivers seamless customer experiences and enables new product capabilities while ensuring operational excellence. The team owns strategy, planning, technical execution, customer service, fraud operations, process design, quality, training, and program management. We drive efficiency, resolve issues quickly, and scale operations as the business grows. Our goal is to deliver seamless support while maintaining high standards and reducing risk.

About The Role

As an Implementation Support Specialist I, you’ll combine your exceptional technical and communications skills to support the implementation of the affirm solution with our growing network of retail partners. You will serve as a primary support contact for our partners’ business and technical teams throughout the integration process, while working cross-functionally with affirm’s engineering and merchant operations teams to help provide clients with quick solutions, troubleshoot account issues, and build internal processes that scale.

What You’ll Do

• Provide exemplary support to merchant partners on topics including: marketing best practices, accounting workflows, implementation guidance / troubleshooting
• Resolve technical integration issues related to partners’ ecommerce front-end platforms and back-end order management systems
• Identify and implement new operational processes to drive efficiency
• Develop detailed technical documentation
• Engage with internal stakeholders to define cross-functional workflows
• Provide product feedback from clients to the product and engineering teams to improve overall product performance and feature set

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience in relevant industry (Tech, eCommerce, SaaS) and/or similar role(s)
• Past success in a job, internship, or volunteer role that required written communication with stakeholders, customers, or partners
• Exceptional project management, communication, and technical skills to manage client engagements and internal resources
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently and drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and high attention to detail
• Nice to have: experience working with major e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc) or exposure to web development concepts
• Nice to have : Previous experience in the payments or ecommerce space
• Nice to have: knowledge of of HTML, Javascript, API’s

This role requires candidates to be based in the Pacific Time Zone.

Pay Grade - D

Equity Grade - 1

Employees new to affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.).

USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $70,000 - $90,000

USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $62,000 - $82,000

Remote-first with flexibility built in

Some positions may occasionally require in-person work at an affirm office, and a few are office-based due to the nature of the work.
