Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking an APS implementation specialist to design and deliver advanced planning solutions for clients across industries. You will work with solution architects to translate requirements into functional designs and configure APS platforms to solve complex supply-chain problems.

You will collaborate with McKinsey’s internal product teams and external providers to shape roadmaps and ensure data integrity, testing, and effective issue resolution across regions and sectors.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in science, engineering, mathematics, business, MBA, or a master’s in supply-chain optimization, operations research, or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in supply-chain or related field.
• SAP IBP implementation experience required.
• Good understanding of demand planning, inventory optimization, supply-chain planning or operational supply-chain fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ERP, TMS, WMS data systems.
• Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, analytics, and visualization tools.
• Exposure to mixed‑integer linear programming, statistics, and machine learning.
• Good written and verbal English; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

YOUR IMPACT

• You will spend a significant part of your time working with McKinsey clients to design and implement advanced digital planning solutions.
• You will participate in the complete lifecycle of a project from design to delivery of Advanced Planning Systems (APS) solutions for clients across industries and geographies, specializing in SAP IBP software implementations, advanced planning analytics, and machine learning solutions.
• You will work closely with solution architects to develop clear functional and technical design, document data requirements and build complex datasets, and configure the APS platform based on the blueprint laid out during design to solve deep operations and supply‑chain problems. You will also create and execute workflow and data analytics test cases and document issues and track progress of issue resolution.
• You will work with McKinsey’s internal product teams as well as third‑party planning solution providers to shape future solution roadmaps based on client pain points and business requirements.
• You will be based in our Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, or Washington, DC office, and work as part of MSC‑X, the analytics wing of McKinsey & Company’s Manufacturing and Supply Chain practice, directly with project teams and clients across regions and sectors on complex supply‑chain planning problems.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Some roles are eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey’s discretion and based on performance.
