Qualifications

Specific responsibilities include formalization and active management of project plans, clarifying timelines, milestones, goals and ownership, identifying and leading process improvement/centralization, technology implementation, and training activities. Such efforts will require cross-function involvement with TSS, Logistics Technology, Operations, Safety, Finance, and Human Resources. Will lead regular meetings to ensure effectiveness of plan, cost implications and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a logistics, operations, or supply chain environment required
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a project management role preferred
• In-depth knowledge of Penske Logistics’ business practices and functional expertise within the Product Line.
• Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office suite
• Intermediate knowledge in project management programs such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project
• Knowledge in process improvement, change management and supply chain functions
• Intermediate knowledge of Financial literacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Independent problem-solving and decision making
• Ability to translate goals to project team
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
