Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Implementation Engineer to support new client and facility rollouts within the CEVA Contract Logistics network. You will maintain layouts, ensure readiness actions are completed, track capital investments, and drive CEVA LEAN standards in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in Logistics & Distribution with facility design/launch experience.
  • 3PL experience required and e-commerce fulfilment exposure.
  • Experience in designing utilities and infrastructure for material handling equipment.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors/integrators for equipment implementation.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Solutions Design to translate data assumptions into implementation plans.
  • Lead site setup, facility outfitting, layout execution and process optimization in the fulfillment center.
  • Define slotting and replenishment strategies and communicate insights to operations partners.
  • Coordinate with IT and WMS teams to define location naming, work zones and routing in WMS.
  • Develop operational reporting to drive visibility and efficiency in the operation.
  • Ensure work instructions reflect actual processes and are test-ready.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement, tracking, delivery, and on-time implementation with PM and Procurement teams.

YOUR ROLE

The Implementation Engineer will support the implementations of new clients and new facilities in CEVA Contract Logistics network. The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining layouts, ensuring facilities readiness actions are completed, tracking capital investments, and implementing CEVA LEAN and Continuous Improvement Engineering standards. The Engineer will collaborate with the Implementation project team and local Operations & Facilities teams to ensure all actions are completed on-time and in budget.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Collaborate with Solutions Design to understand data assumptions, solution design elements, and procurement needs for new client and new facility implementations.
  • Lead site setup, facility outfitting, layout execution and process optimization activities in the fulfillment center

Define the slotting and replenishment strategy for each new client engagement by analysing complex sets of data. Must communicate key insights and strategies to Operational partners.

  • Coordinate with IT and WMS Configuration team to define location naming, work zones, material flow & routing, and pick sequences in WMS system.
  • Use data, direct observation, and predetermined labour standards to validate pricing assumptions, including change requests, and develop Operational reporting to drive visibility and efficiency in the Operation.
  • Collaborate with the Training & Development team to ensure work instructions represent the specific processes and physical work performed in the facility.

Partner with Project Management and Procurement to ensure equipment and supplies are ordered, tracked, delivered, and implemented on-time and onbudget..

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field of study

Minimum 3 years Logistics & Distribution experience designing, implementing, or launching new facilities and solutions

Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience required.

E-commerce and Omni channel fulfilment experience.

  • Experience indesigning building utilities and infrastructure requirements including power, air, data required to support solution design for material handling equipment and processes
  • Experience in managing vendors and integrators with implementation of material handling equipment.

Six Sigma and LEAN certifications a plus.

Skills:

Proficiencyin AutoCAD, Data Analysis, process mapping tools, Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of WMS functionality.

Experience in warehouse automation applications

  • Experience in managing vendors and integrators with implementation of material handling equipment.
  • Experience in quality and efficiency design with experience to identify best practices in high volume environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in sortation design and components, rates and material handling of various package configurations
  • Experience in designing and implementing user acceptance testing for material handling equipment installation.

Characteristics:

Strong interpersonal communication skills,demonstratedhistory of developing relationships and building trust, ability to work independently & in a team environment.
