Job summary

Foundant, a remote-first software company, enables mission-driven organizations to manage data, grants, and workflows with our SaaS platform.

As a Config/QA Specialist, you will configure systems end-to-end, lead client delivery sessions, gather requirements, and ensure successful go-lives while collaborating with global teams.

You will travel within North America and Europe, and benefit from tuition support and wellness initiatives that Foundant offers to foster growth and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with SQL; a definite asset.
• Experience with application configuration within a CMS or similar environment.
• Basic knowledge of SaaS solutions and the SDLC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Clear, concise communication and strong time-management skills.
• Occasional travel within NA and Europe; eligible to work in US/Canada/EU.

Responsibilities

• Configure systems from end-to-end under a project lead.
• Lead or participate in client delivery sessions.
• Gather requirements and participate in design walkthroughs and implementations.
• Flag and report potential out-of-scope requests from clients.
• Troubleshoot client issues and escalate to Development when needed.
• Support go-lives and QA before UAT with clients.
• Assist with integrated system testing for new features.
• Support the Help Desk on complex tickets.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Under the direction of a project lead, configure systems from end‑to‑end, troubleshoot errors, and perform quality assurance testing as required.
• Lead or participate in functionality delivery sessions with the clients.
• Participate in project walkthroughs, business requirements gathering, design walkthroughs, and implementation sessions as required.
• Flag and report potential problematic or out‑of‑scope requests from clients.
• Investigate client issues technically, performing detailed initial troubleshooting before escalating issues to the Development team.
• Enable successful go‑lives by acting as the first line of QA before UAT with a client and final implementation.
• Assist with performing integrated system testing when new features are applied to a client system.
• Assist the Support desk as needed to solve complex system tickets.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with SQL; a definite asset.
• Experience with application configuration within a CMS or similar environment (e.g., field configuration, workflow creation, tweaking, implementation).
• Basic knowledge of SaaS solutions and experience with the SDLC.
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, concise, and effective communication skills.
• Exceptional time‑management skills.
• Occasional travel is required; must be able to travel within North America and Europe.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, USA or EU.
