NYC Public Schools is seeking an Implementation Accounts Specialist to oversee accounting processes for Impartial Hearing Orders. Under the guidance of the Director of Accounts Management, the specialist will engage with various stakeholders and maintain meticulous records regarding service payments.
Ideal candidates should possess a degree in accounting or hold a CPA license, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.
Under the supervision of the Director of Accounts Management, the Implementation Accounts Specialist performs professional accounting work of moderate difficulty and responsibility for the Impartial Hearing Order Implementation Unit. The Implementation Accounts Specialist will respond to inquiries from parents, advocates, attorneys, schools, and service agencies to collect required documentation and information to establish funding parameters, and process payments pursuant to Impartial Hearing Orders. The Implementation Accounts Specialist will provide ongoing information and support to parents, families, and providers related to awards for services pursuant to the administrative hearing process. $67,110 - 71,610 (Incumbent - 2 years of full-time continuous City service)
(Internal candidates who are selected for this position and who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not earn less than their current salary.)
