Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide process sustaining support in a high-precision semiconductor production environment. The role concentrates on the Implant area and requires working a 12-hour back-end day shift (3on-4off-4on-3off) from 6am to 6:15pm, interacting with Engineering to develop and qualify new processes and tools.

You will document DOE data, report issues, and cooperate with maintenance and process engineers to resolve non-conformances.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex work instructions (verbal or written).
  • Learn basic semiconductor physics and chemistry principles to understand process effects on manufactured product.

Here’s The Gist

This position provides process sustaining support in an automated semiconductor production environment. The area of concentration would be Implant. This position will work a 12-hour Back End Day shift with a "3on-4off-4on-3off" alternatingschedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 6am-6:15pm. The Day-to-Day Work closely with Engineering team to develop and qualify new processes and new tool sets. This will include characterizing, documenting and possibly presenting data based around design ofexperiments (DOE). Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions. Take corrective action and interact with Process Engineers & Equipment Maintenance to identify and resolve non-conformance process and equipment operations. Handle material dispositions and work to resolve any lot issues that may arise. Assist in creating new procedures and refining existing ones Work collaboratively to achieve quarterly set yield and cycle time goals.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
  • Associates degree OR at least 1 year of experience in a technical role
  • Ability to work in ISO 5 (class 100) clean room for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs frequently, and stand or walk most of a shift.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex work instructions (verbal or written), observe performance to specification, provide required feedback to assure knowledge is transferred
  • Learn basic semiconductor physics and chemistry principles to understand process effects on manufactured product
  • MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, or move around assigned work location without limitation for extended periods of time (i.e. up to 11 hours at a time).
  • Experience using hands to operate machinery and/or assemble product.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to chest height.
  • Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment or PPE (i.e. lightweight cleanroom suit, eye protection, gloves, etc.).
  • Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists, includes standing or walking over hard concrete surface, and climbing ladders.

Compensation Range: $19.30 - $26.55
