Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an equipment technician to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing team that produces advanced semiconductor devices. You will collaborate with technicians and engineers to maintain equipment and support production in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities include following SOPs and OCAPs, performing PMs, and applying structured problem solving while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Solid mechanical aptitude is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Implanters is a plus.

Position Summary

In your role as an equipment technician, you'll work alongside a talented group of technicians and engineers in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment producing some of the most advanced semiconductor devices on the planet.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Practice 6S in the office and fab, holding safety as the number 1 priority.
• Follow SOPs, PTPs, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) to work efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment.
• Use structured problem solving to help find impactful solutions to complex problems.
• Affectively communicate with engineers, leaders, and teammates
• Work in a team environment on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

• High School diploma is required.
• Technical degree preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude highly desired.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience on Implanters preferred.

The current base salary range for this role is between $26,00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
