Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Utilization Review Coordinator to join our Utilization Management Team. The role helps ensure medical necessity and appropriateness of hospital admissions and extended stays, guiding the program in line with Mountain View Hospital’s mission and goals.

The UR Coordinator will monitor adherence to the utilization review plan, aiming to continuously improve the effective use of hospital services by tracking patient admissions and stays.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical terminology is helpful.
• Background in medical coding and/or insurance is preferred.
• Coding certification within one year of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medical necessity and appropriateness of hospital admissions and extended stays.
• Help maintain efficient methods within the utilization management program.
• Monitor adherence to the hospital's utilization review plan and related processes.
