Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Cluster Substitute Teacher who will be assigned to a single school to cover teacher absences for ten days or fewer per absence. Assignments may change daily.

The teacher will report to the Principal/Head of School and must demonstrate accountability for student achievement, high expectations, and equitable instruction while fostering a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Education: undergraduate degree required.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
• Must successfully complete a CORI/SORI background check.
• Must pass a screening interview with the BPS Office of Human Capital.

Responsibilities

• Cover teacher absences for ten days or fewer per absence at a single school.
• Support student learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with school staff and adhere to district standards and policies.
