Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in underground bituminous coal mines.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Possession of a current and valid certificate as a bituminous mine electrician issued by the Department of Environmental Protection.
• Must be at least 30 years of age.
• Must meet PA residency requirement.
• Do not submit resumes, cover letters, and similar documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical electrical inspections of system installations and equipment in bituminous underground coal mines to enforce compliance with mining laws.
• Inspect electrical equipment and investigate mining accidents to determine causes and preventative action.
• Have authority to order withdrawal of mine employees if there is imminent danger and to close the mine until conditions are corrected.
• Full-time employment with standard hours; some positions may be home office; travel is required; expenses paid.
