Job summary

Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. (NCYF) seeks Therapeutic Counselors for our Therapeutic Day Programs for at-risk youth in Westfield, MA. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 10:30am–6:30pm, with focus on emotional skills and life skills development.

Candidates should be creative, supportive of youth initiatives, and capable of handling boundaries and reporting requirements. Daily logs, transportation duties, and teamwork are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Approved CORI, DCF and driving background checks.

Responsibilities

• Co-leading therapeutic activities and community trips and teaching and modeling age-appropriate social and living skills.
• Assist with development of emotional strengths and life skills for individual youths.
• Maintain proper professional boundaries.
• Complete daily logs and required paperwork with accuracy.
• Provide transportation for clients to and from NCYF sites in agency vehicles.
