Job summary

IXL Learning is seeking Software Engineer Interns for a full-time summer position at our San Mateo, CA headquarters. You will participate in design, coding, testing, debugging, and tuning across the development lifecycle.

We expect third-year undergraduates or advanced CS students with solid Java and OO skills, plus knowledge of SQL/JavaScript/CSS and source control. This is a paid internship with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Currently a third-year undergrad or pursuing an advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong grasp of general programming principles.
• Excellent programming skills in Java or other object-oriented language.
• Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in diverse teams.
• Knowledge of Java, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, source control is a plus.
• Passion for improving education through technology.
