Kokua Education is seeking substitute teachers for the Odessa/Midland area for the 2025-26 school year. You can start the interview process now. You will support K-12 students, with the opportunity to lead classrooms and be a role model in local schools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year working with students in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, camps, etc.)
• Minimum of 60 college credit hours
• Confidence to manage a classroom of students
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass state & federal background checks, with reimbursements after 10 teaching assignments

Responsibilities

• Step in where needed throughout the school day to support your campus (lunch/recess supervision, hall and bathroom monitoring, tutoring, testing proctoring)
• Assist with classroom routines and activities to create a safe, supportive learning environment
• Lead or support instructional activities as assigned by school staff
