Job summary

Rock Point Community School is looking for a qualified substitute teacher to fill in for regular classroom teachers. You will follow lesson plans, maintain a productive learning environment, teach assigned subjects, manage behavior, and provide feedback to regular teachers about student progress.

Qualifications

• Possess valid Arizona State Substitute Teaching Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong communication and presentation style.
• Proven classroom management skills.
• Willing to accept early morning calls and same-day assignments.
• Comply with RPCS policies and confidentiality requirements (FERPA).

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned subjects according to lesson plans and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and monitor student progress.
• Provide feedback to regular teachers about student progress and needs.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior as needed.
• Leaves notes and completed work for teacher review at the end of each period.
