Job summary

Encompass Health, the nation’s largest rehabilitation company, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to help patients overcome speech and communication challenges in a supportive inpatient setting.

You'll evaluate and treat patients, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. A Master’s degree is preferred, CCC certification, state licensure, CPR, and a commitment to compassionate care are required or pursued within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• CCC certification (Clinical CCC) required for SLP licensure/credential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
