Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Gluckstadt, MS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our outpatient team. The PRN position focuses on helping patients communicate, swallow safely, and regain independence.

You will evaluate, treat, and document plans; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; supervise students; and educate families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Mississippi licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• CCC-SLP certification or eligibility for CFY (Clinical Fellowship).
• BLS certification preferred or required on hire.
• One year of clinical SLP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based SLP services to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home programs.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.
• Supervise SLP students as assigned.
• Maintain professionalism and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
