Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's HomeCare division is hiring a Full Time Speech Therapist in Alabama to assess and treat speech, swallowing, and cognitive impairments within home health settings. You will develop and implement treatment plans and collaborate with a care team to improve patient communication and quality of life.

The role requires Alabama licensure in Speech Therapy, CPR certification, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in Alabama.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Weekend rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within state-defined scope and plan of care.
• Evaluate patient function and assist in therapy plan development.
• Treat patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills.
• Observe, document, and report patient progress to supervising nurse/physician.
• Educate patient, family, or caregiver in speech therapy techniques.
