Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• ASHA certification is required.
• Licensed to practice as a Speech/Language Pathologist in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for rehabilitation services within 24 to 48 hours of physician orders.
• Develop effective treatment plans and implement them with patients.
• Treat patients according to the treatment plan and adjust as needed.
• Communicate with physicians, clinical managers, families, and health care staff about patient progress.
• Record evaluations and treatment notes and complete daily billing per policy.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and participate in discharge planning.
• Supervise affiliating graduate clinicians and ensure compliance with licensure standards.
