Job summary

Lyon County School District is seeking a Silver Stage Middle SPED Resource Teacher for the 2026/27 school year. The position focuses on self-contained, mild/moderate disabilities with a range- salary depending on experience and benefits such as employer-paid retirement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and Nevada teaching licensure. You will design goal-driven instruction, maintain records, and collaborate with staff to support students in functional academics and life

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree preferred.
• Requires Nevada teaching license and eligibility in the relevant subject area.
• Experience with special education and IEP processes is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for students with disabilities using functional curriculum domains.
• Maintain student records and submit required reports in PowerSchool.
• Adhere to district standards and participate in required training.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and administration to support student goals.
• Differentiate instruction and use evidence-based methods and materials.
