Job summary

Hearst Television's KCRA 3 in Sacramento seeks a Special Projects Photographer and Editor to capture compelling state stories for TV, digital, streaming, and social media. You’ll spend substantial time in the field, shooting on professional gear and editing with Premiere and After Effects.

The role reports to the Assistant News Director and operates as a union position with a strong emphasis on storytelling, integrity, and deadline-driven production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional videography experience.
• Ability to carry up to 30 pounds of equipment.
• Willing to work varied shifts and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit content for linear, digital, and social platforms.
• Edit in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, and managers to produce high-quality stories.
• Organize and maintain gear and media assets.
• Perform other editing tasks as assigned.
