Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as required by Kentucky law.
• One year experience operating a motor vehicle.
• Valid Kentucky Class B Commercial Driver's license with passenger endorsement.
• School Bus Certificate; must pass driving record check.
• Ability to load/unload handicapped students with safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus on designated routes according to time schedules and regulations.
• Provide safe and efficient transportation for district students to and from school, events and trips.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance on the bus.
• Assist loading/unloading of handicapped students as necessary.
• Maintain order and discipline among students following district policies.
• Report incidents affecting student safety and bus operation.
