Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, seeks a Special Education Teacher in Phoenix, AZ for a contract-full-time role paying $47 per hour. The teacher will support K-12 students under the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with general education staff to plan and implement student programs.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and state teaching certification; one year of teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all federal, state and local requirements
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff on planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
