Job summary

Perry Township Schools is seeking a Special Education Assistant CIP to provide instructional and supervisory support in a Comprehensive Intervention Program classroom. You will implement programming under teacher and administrator direction and assist with routine tasks to keep students engaged.

Responsibilities include supervising students across activities, supporting those with behavioral needs, and assisting with personal care when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with special needs children preferred.
• Ability to read and write.
• Willingness to work with special needs students.
• Calm, patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during playground, lunch, and bus loading.
• Provide direct supervision as needed when boundaries are challenging.
• Assist students with toileting and routine personal care.
• Assist with clerical tasks and use standard office equipment.
• Implement programming as directed by teachers or administrators.
• Travel to district buildings and professional meetings as required.
