Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Passaic and surrounding counties in NJ for the 26-27 school year. Work Monday through Friday through the end of the school year, with compensation ranging from $47–$60 per hour.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering reading and writing instruction, small-group and classroom teaching, and maintaining professional standards and confidentiality. NJDOE teaching certification and related credentials are required.

Qualifications

• NJDOE Teaching Certification.
• NJD Federal or state credentialing requirements.
• Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions.
• Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills.
• Willingness to stand for most hours or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to give instructions in the absence of the main teacher.
• Covid Vaccination or weekly testing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and evaluate instruction for students having difficulty with reading or writing.
• Work with students in small groups and in classroom settings.
• Meet and instruct students in the locations and times designated.
• Use positive verbal and non-verbal skills that enhance learning.
• Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in all public settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by program/building administrator(s) in accordance with school policies and practices.
