Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our SNF team in Toccoa, GA. The role focuses on improving communication, cognition, swallowing function, and overall quality of life for patients in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
• Clinical Fellowship candidates considered where applicable.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, or post-acute care preferred.
• Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by an ASHA-approved evaluation organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.
