• Develops and implements instructional plans that are available for review.
• Organizes learning activities to achieve specific instructional goals.
• Assesses student learning on an ongoing basis, using formative and summative structures, and alters plans based on findings to meet individual and group needs.
• Develops and maintains a positive and effective learning environment.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships.
• Collaborates and communicates with other team members in planning and instruction to maximize educational success.
• Takes all necessary precautions and actions to protect student safety and well-being as well as school and division facilities, materials, and equipment.
• Selects and uses appropriate instructional materials, tools, and technologies to meet individual and group needs.
• Supervises students during instructional and non-instructional time in and outside of the classroom.
• Attends and participates in department and faculty meetings and other school functions, as assigned or requested.
• Ensures compliance with existing applicable federal, state, and local statutes, policies, regulations, and guidelines related to public school.
• Effectively guides and supervises instructional assistants to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Performs related duties as required or assigned.
