Job summary

EDU Healthcare is seeking a dedicated 4th–6th Grade Self-Contained Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. You will develop and implement IEPs, tailor instruction to diverse learners, and collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to support student success.

The role emphasizes structured, inclusive classroom environments, regular progress updates, and strong communication with parents and IEP team members, within a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Active state licensure or certification (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Previous experience working in schools or with children preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Work in a structured, school-based setting with built-in school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Modify general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Provide specialized instruction in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the school year.
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and IEP team members.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines.
