Job summary

Jubilee Academies in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Secondary Mathematics teacher for grades 6-12. The position is a full-time exempt role with hours Monday–Friday and 190 workdays per year, reporting to the Campus Principal.

Responsibilities include planning lessons aligned to TEA guidelines, differentiating instruction, collaborating with SPED staff, and participating in after-school tutoring and committees as required.

Qualifications

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree and must present official transcripts that show degree awarded.
• Demonstrate competency in their core academic subject area.
• Must believe fully in the mission and vision of Jubilee Academies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to school curriculum.
• Prepare emergency lesson plans covering 2 days of material.
• Accommodate differences in learning styles through differentiated instruction.
• Present material according to Texas Education Agency guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and activities suited to student needs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with SPED staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Lead and supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Participate in after-school tutoring as required.
• Maintain reports and records as required.
