Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
LCSW or LSW license may be preferred depending on district requirements.
Experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting preferred.
Knowledge of social-emotional development, behavioral interventions, and student support services.
Valid Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group social-emotional support based on student needs.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered interventions and support plans.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute social work expertise to educational planning.
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
