Job summary

Green Hills AEA in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 year. This 190-day, full-time role starts with a salary range of $55,924 to $86,358 and increases with experience. Licensure through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners is required.

The role supports students by coordinating with schools, families, and communities, conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing MTSS-based services within educational settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or School Social Work from an accredited program.
• Iowa licensing required: Endorsement or LISW/LMSW as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison among schools, families, and community to support student development.
• Consult and coach educators on MTSS and SDI implementation.
• Provide consultation on instructional strategies and behavior management.
• Facilitate Child Find evaluations and IEP development.
• Support curriculum adaptation and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Ensure compliant documentation and FERPA/HIPAA safeguards.
