Job summary

Gobravvo's San Jose, CA school district is seeking a School Psychologist (PPS, K-8) to support students' academic and emotional success. This full-time role collaborates with teachers, families, and administrators to conduct assessments and provide evidence-based counseling.

You will participate in RTI/MTSS initiatives, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary teams to tailor interventions and foster inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Current and active California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology
• Experience in K-12 educational settings is preferred but not required
• Thorough understanding of school psychology practices, including psychoeducational assessments and counseling
• Commitment to promoting inclusive and equitable educational opportunities for all students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct academic, behavioral, and emotional evaluations in accordance with school and district policies
• Deliver individual and small group counseling to address student needs and promote resilience
• Consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student development and behavioral strategies
• Participate in eligibility determinations and contribute to IEP development and meetings
• Support the implementation and monitoring of RTI and MTSS interventions
• Assist in the creation of strategies to foster positive and inclusive school environments
