Job summary

You will plan and implement the school counseling program, provide individual and group counseling, consult with families and staff, coordinate services, and support appropriate student placement and development.

Qualifications

• A Counselor’s license.
• Completion of an approved program in school counseling at the master’s level or above.
• Completion of Praxis (School Guidance and Counseling).

Responsibilities

• Program Planning: establish and evaluate the school counseling program with staff involvement.
• Counseling: provide individual and group counseling to meet student needs.
• Consulting: work with students, parents, teachers and staff to support students.
• Coordinating: coordinate counseling services and assist with Guidance Curriculum.
• Student Appraisal: interpret test results and assist with educational placement.
• Professional Practices and Development: adhere to ethical standards and update knowledge.
