Dean Transportation is hiring School Bus Drivers to safely transport students in Walled Lake, MI and surrounding routes. Training for CDL is provided, and no prior CDL is required. Earn up to $27.00 per hour with flexible scheduling based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Meet general employment qualifications.
• Meet company/state driving record checks.
• Meet criminal history check requirements.
• Meet Federal DOT guidelines and physical exam requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as required.
• Complete Dean Transportation School Bus Driver Training (classroom, behind the wheel, tests).
• Meet Michigan School Bus Driver Certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct riders on safety.
• Drive defensively under various conditions.
• Prioritize passenger safety at all times.
• Coordinate with drivers, office, maintenance, and staff.
• Attend training and in-service sessions.
