Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services seeks a School-Based Physical Therapist to serve low-incidence students at a school location in Broomall, PA. The role is 4 days per week with a 2026/2027 school year contract, onsite in the school setting.

The qualified candidate will conduct PT evaluations, develop IEP goals, and work with multidisciplinary teams to promote access and participation in educational activities. A PA PT license and required clearances are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License.
  • Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Knowledge of IDEA regulations, IEP development, and school-based documentation requirements.
  • Experience working with pediatric students with severe physical, neurological, and multiple disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct educationally relevant physical therapy evaluations to identify barriers impacting student access to the school environment and curriculum.
  • Develop measurable IEP goals and provide direct physical therapy services focused on functional mobility, positioning, and participation in educational activities.
  • Assess, fit, and train staff on adaptive equipment including wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, and specialized seating systems.
  • Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families regarding safe transfers, positioning, mobility, and classroom accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Pennsylvania state regulations.
