Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while supporting a positive, compassionate environment and collaborating with physicians and staff.

You will participate in performance improvement initiatives, maintain licensure, and mentor other nurses as part of Shared Governance, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred.
• Current nursing licenses and certifications required on hire.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification (Instructor or basic) or ARC-BLS required.
• RN license: single-state OR RN-Compact (multistate) status required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care and Care Coordination: Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; collaborate on care plans and ensure optimal daily flow.
• Patient Advocacy: Address patient and family concerns, educate and communicate care plans.
• Performance Improvement: Contribute to improvement initiatives and share best practices to enhance outcomes.
• Professional Competency and Growth: Maintain licenses, complete required training, seek growth opportunities.
• Professional Leadership: Mentor and precept other nurses and support governance principles.
• Other duties as assigned and uphold confidentiality and safety standards.
