Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center, a 150-bed facility in Encino, California, seeks an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner I to join our award-winning team dedicated to quality, compassion and community.

Under supervision of medical staff, the RCP I performs respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics, ensuring age-appropriate patient care; per diem schedule offers flexibility and the potential to lead during shifts.

Qualifications

Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the NBRC required. Hired before March 2026, are exempt
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintain current.
Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Two (2) years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
Assess, plan, implement and document patient care with consideration of age and population specific needs.
In the absence of a supervisor, may be identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.
