Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team in Belvidere, Illinois. You will deliver direct respiratory care, supervise breathing treatments, assess patients, and develop individualized care plans to support recovery.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing professional growth within a nationally recognized post-acute care leader.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas and breathing therapies.
• Supervise care and breathing treatments, assess and plan patient care.
• Build relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Education

State License in Respiratory Therapy

CPR certification

ACLS certification preferred

Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred
