Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Program Assistant to support psychiatry/addiction research projects. You will assist in recruitment, data collection, data entry, and general study coordination for trials on interpersonal violence and addiction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with four years of relevant program experience; a bachelor’s in psychology, biology, nursing, or related field is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, biology, nursing or other related field preferred.
• Ability to present information effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage tracking of all research participants, including screening, recruitment, and scheduling.
• Perform diagnostic interviews using structured clinical interviews and document assessment data.
• Maintain documentation per FDA, IRB, sponsors and GCP guidelines for research trials.
• Enter data into a computerized database and organize patient data files.
• Review study procedures and suggest improvements when needed.
• Maintain research supplies and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
• Assist with saliva and blood handling, vital signs, and data analysis as needed.
