Job summary

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline is seeking a Radiation Therapist to perform radiation therapy, radiographic procedures, CT simulations, and maintain treatment documentation. The role requires ARRT credentials and the ability to work under pressure while upholding the hospital’s mission and core values.

The position features a full-time, 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday schedule with a $5k sign-on bonus and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program (ARRT).
• Texas MRT license, ARRT-T, and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Uses AIDET when communicating with patients to identify requirements and establish rapport.
• Prepares patient for radiation therapy by positioning and using proper imaging protocols.
• Warms up treatment machines/CT Simulator and reports issues to the physicist/manager.
• Protects patients and staff by following safety and infection-control policies.
• Assists in obtaining and maintaining documentation like history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions.
• Keeps policies, procedures, standards, and records for governmental/regulatory bodies.
• Supports department goals through education and skills competency development.
• Ensures safe care adhering to CHRISTUS Spohn policies within budget and time constraints.
• Operates equipment: Varian iX, CyberKnife, Wide Bore CT, Mosiaq EMR.
