Job summary

Taproot Foundation in New York seeks an Associate Consultant for Advisory Services to help design and deliver pro bono programs. You will advise corporate clients on pro bono strategy and aid nonprofits with capacity-building, while coordinating multiple engagements in a collaborative setting.

You will contribute to field-building resources, host or participate in events, and support internal planning. A strong project-management mindset and client-focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience and competencies in client services, field building, and nonprofit capacity building.
• Strategic builder and communicator with experience working with corporate and nonprofit leaders.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Service Delivery: manage a portfolio of 6–9 engagements, ensuring timely, in-scope, high-quality work; handle strategy, program implementation, or field-building projects with diverse stakeholders.
• Support engagements led by Senior Associate or Senior Consultant, focusing on workplan management and deliverable development.
• Field Building: help develop tools, presentations, or original research to advance the pro bono field; partner with other teams and external partners; participate in community events.
• Practice Management: contribute to performance measurement, track trends, and support internal initiatives; share learnings to enhance Taproot’s advisory services.
• Relationship Management: maintain strong daily relationships with clients and funders to support ongoing work.
