Job summary

The Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sioux Falls is seeking a Respiratory Therapist on a PRN schedule to join our nationally recognized inpatient rehabilitation team. You will deliver compassionate respiratory care and help patients regain independence through state-of-the-art equipment and evidence-based therapies.

In this role you will provide direct care, supervise breathing treatments, lead patient assessments, and tailor care plans while building trusting relationships with

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

State license in Respiratory Therapy

CPR certification

ACLS certification preferred
