Job summary

Qualifications

• MD/DO Medicine degree is required.
• Tennessee licensure or eligibility to practice medicine is required.
• Board certifications in relevant osteopathic or allopathic specialties are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including exam, evaluation, and treatment.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Refer patients to specialists and coordinate with the care team.
• Manage daily operations of the medical program or unit.
• Direct and coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
• Follow departmental policies and infection control standards.
• Explain procedures and test results to patients and families.
• Order, perform, and interpret tests to diagnose conditions.
