Stattorney is seeking an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Conviction Integrity Unit CIP Prosecutor role at 120 E. Baltimore Street. The CIU handles a broad range of post-trial matters including probation violations, expungements, Gibson hearings, and writs of actual innocence.

The position is full-time and hybrid, with a salary range of $83,530 to $133,471. Maryland licensed attorneys with JD are preferred, and experience with felony jury trials is valued.

Formación

• Candidates must possess a juris doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in Maryland.
• Prior felony criminal jury trial experience is preferred.
• Ideal candidate will be highly organized, a team player and capable of working independently in a high-pressure environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and handle certain post-trial matters on collateral dockets for all thirty-five circuit court judges.
• Identify and obtain relevant materials to handle collateral cases.
• Contact victims and witnesses as needed.
• Attend CIU staff meetings.
• Conduct legal research.
