Job summary

Corient is seeking a summer internship to support investment research and manager due diligence. You will assist in evaluating managers, monitor performance, conduct market research, and analyze model portfolios, interfacing with portfolio management and alternatives teams.

You will contribute to research materials for investment decisions, support client service and content creation, and collaborate across internal departments.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising junior or senior by the summer of 2027.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated coursework or experience in finance, economics, or mathematics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant financial software is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Able to work across multiple internal and external departments and individuals.
• Works to see multiple points of view to reach shared objective.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and selection of investment managers across a wide array of asset classes and investment vehicles through both a quantitative and qualitative lens.
• Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of third-party manager performance and other unique investment strategies.
• Conduct market research on investment trends and industry developments.
• Analyze and report on various model portfolios.
• Interface with Corient’s portfolio management and alternatives teams as needed.
• Participate in producing research materials to support investment decisions.
• Support best-in-class client service and content creation.
• Provide robust support to internal colleagues through excellent communication and collaboration.
