Job summary

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school.
• Volunteer or paid experience in a law enforcement support area and college coursework in criminology or police science is desirable.
• Be United States citizen or resident alien with citizenship application in progress.
• Be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to protect life and property and deter crime.
• Respond to emergencies, investigate suspicious activities, and prepare reports.
• Direct traffic, make arrests, and testify in court when required.
• Provide information to the public and maintain professional community relations.
• Participate in special details and assignments including investigations and SR Team.
