Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with licensure requirements and standards.
• Deliver rehab services per established plan of care, adhere to schedules, and document services timely.
• Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and related meetings.
• Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive patient needs.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen for each patient.
• Adapt program and plan of care according to patient needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe environment and address hazards; order supplies/equipment as necessary.
• Presents patient-focused service in a compassionate atmosphere supporting patients' rights and needs.
• Screen, examine and evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, and design plans of care with goals and methods.
• Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy, and use of modalities.
• Design and apply adaptive devices and instruct on their use.
