Job summary

Adventist Health in Bakersfield, California is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our staff team. The role plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

A Doctor of Physical Therapy is required, with licensure in California; license obtained on or after January 2016 must meet criteria or foreign equivalent.

Qualifications

• DPT degree required; only if license obtained on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent.
• Two years' Physical Therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts segments of treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions.
• Serves as co-leader in interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.
• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention.
• Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and communicates discharge plans.
• Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervises assigned assistants.
