Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ seeks a Perinatal Sonographer to perform high-frequency obstetric ultrasounds, including first trimester to anatomy scans, and fetal assessments using Doppler and BPP. Qualifications

• Associates of Science
• 1-3 years of experience
• Experience and proficiency in Level II OB Ultrasound, imaging-guided procedures
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN (RDMS-OB)
• Ultrasound Technician (UT)

Responsibilities

• Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients.
• Obtains diagnostic sonographic images by scanning the appropriate body part of the patient with the transducer; provides documentation of ultrasound exam sufficient for physicians to interpret.
• Care properly for sonography equipment and report equipment failure
• Provides assistance to administrative, medical, and technical staff when necessary.
